SIVAC meets with its partners during WHO EMRO regional meeting in Cairo, Egypt
SIVAC attended the 26th Intercountry Meeting of National Managers of the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) and the 2nd Meeting of the Chairpersons of the National Immunization Technical Advisory Group (NITAG), held in Cairo, Egypt, from July 4-7, 2010. During these meetings, SIVAC met with the representatives from Lebanon and Tunisia to discuss the next steps for strengthening their respective NITAGs in collaboration with WHO/EMRO. SIVAC also met with country representatives to discuss the possibility of providing technical support to their NITAGs, as recommended by meeting participants.
SIVAC participates in WHO/SEARO Regional Review Meeting on Immunization
SIVAC took part in the WHO/SEARO Regional Review Meeting on Immunization, held in New Delhi, India, July 19-23, 2010. At the meeting, SIVAC met with Indonesian participants to discuss the upcoming Jakarta workshop jointly organized with WHO SEARO-the next step in strengthening the country's NITAG. SIVAC also had the opportunity to discuss the details of its next visit to Kathmandu, Nepal. The purpose of this trip will be to initiate the development of a concept paper for the strengthening of the country's NITAG in collaboration with WHO.
